"We have children at the heart of everything we do and understand the need to nurture the whole child both personally and academically."

Mathematics is taught in an engaging, multi-sensory, interactive approach which is based on the Numeracy Framework for England and Wales. Lessons are enriched with the use of computers and practical equipment. Children are taught how to reflect upon their own learning and are actively involved in self-assessment. Lessons comprise of a mental maths activity, whole class teaching and a plenary. All lessons are differentiated for the individual needs of the children in the class. Children have their own maths targets which they work towards and regularly review with their class teacher. When appropriate, maths is taught within the framework of the International Primary Curriculum.
