"We have children at the heart of everything we do and understand the need to nurture the whole child both personally and academically."

School Council

Our children are our number one priority and as such we ensure their voices are heard and valued in our school. One of the ways we ensure this happens is by supporting and developing our children’s school council. The children learn about a wide variety of skills by having a good school council in their school.

The job of the school council is to further improve the school by acting as a representative for the children of ISB. Twice a year the children have the opportunity to put themselves forward to be elected as a school councillor. The children carry out their own presentations to convince their peers that they should vote for them. Afterwards, all the children take part in elections using voting forms and ballot boxes. The primary school council is part of the whole school council, which is made up of an equal number of secondary and primary pupils. They cooperate together on joint projects.
